Craig Gattinger B.Sc.P.E., B.Sc.P.T.
CLINIC DIRECTOR
Craig graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education in 1977, and a Bachelor of Physical Therapy in 1982. His Physical Therapy career began with National and Olympic Hockey Teams from 1978- 1985 including his position as Team Physical Therapist for the Calgary Flames (NHL) from 1985- 1992. In 1983, Craig partnered with Ron Lowe and began the Calgary Sport Physiotherapy Group first at McMahon Stadium (currently Canadian Sport Rehab) and the second clinic at the Saddledome (currently Lindsay Park Physiotherapy) in 1984. Craig and Ron have developed the group to its current size of 9 clinics within Calgary. In July 2000, The Calgary Sport Therapy Group became part of Lifemark Health. Craig is currently the Clinical Director for Lindsay Park Physiotherapy, the Director with Ron Lowe for the Calgary Group and the Regional Manager for the Lifemark Health Alberta Clinics. During his free time he enjoys coaching High School and Club Volleyball and still manages to find time for golf! |

Julianna Bourne B.Sc.P.T., B.A.Psy, A.F.C.I.
Julianna graduated from the University of Rochester in 1994 with a degree in Biology and Psychology (honors), and from Daemen college in 1997 with a degree in Physical Therapy (honors). Julianna finished her P.T. neuro placement in Sydney, Australia and returned to Faxton Hospital in Utica, New York to spend 2.5 years working as a rehab therapist with acute, neurological, cardiac and orthopedic patients. Julianna moved to Calgary and joined Lifemark in May 1999. She currently works with the Men's Senior National waterpolo team and has AFCI certification in Acupuncture. She enjoys working with athletes, orthopedic, motor vehicle accident and neurological patients of all ages.

Pamela Bozzer B.Sc. PT, B. P. E
Pamela graduated with her Bachelor of Physical Education (honors) degree in 1993 from the University of Ottawa, and completed her Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy degree in 1998. She began her career working at the Brockville General Hospital in Brockville, Ontario, then moved to Calgary in 1999 and joined the staff at Lindsay Park Sport Physiotherapy. She has completed many post-graduate courses, which include her Part A level and her A.F.C.I. Certification in Acupuncture. Pamela has worked with numerous sport teams, including University level football and basketball athletes, as well as providing medical coverage for various local, provincial and national sporting events.

Erin Carson B.Sc., Kines., M.Sc. P.T.
Erin graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (honors) in 1999 from the University of Waterloo. Erin spent the following year working as a Kinesiologist with Lifemark in Calgary. After gaining experience in exercise prescription for both acute and chronic orthopedic and sports injuries, Erin returned to school in 2000 for a Master of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University in Hamilton. Erin graduated in 2002 and has returned to Calgary to work with Lifemark. Erin has a special interest in sports and orthopedics, with focus on running, basketball, soccer, and skiing/snowboarding injuries.

Danielle Cregg B.Sc.P.T. (Hons.), M.C.P.A., A.A.C.P.
Danielle graduated from the University of East London, U.K, in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science (honors) degree in Physical Therapy with clinical distinction. In 1995, she finished a manipulation masters level course at the University of Sheffield, U.K., and further continued her professional development in manual therapy by completing the International Maitland Association courses in Europe. In addition she expanded her clinical skills by obtaining training in Acupuncture in the U.K. and now presently has specialized in intra-muscular dry needling. Danielle was involved in teaching several post-graduate clinical courses and has recently been selected to undertake the teacher training program of the International Maitland Association in Europe. Danielle joined Lindsay Park in September 2000. She has gained extensive experience in treating complex pain problems caused from sport related, occupational and personal injuries. She has been involved in the treatment and care of professional rugby players in the U.K. Her dedication and experience to patient care, and her enthusiastic commitment to teaching fellow physiotherapists are valuable assets to the dynamic environment of Lindsay Park Physiotherapy.

Vicki Dancek B.Sc.P.T.
Vicki graduated with a Bachelor of Science with honors in Physical Therapy in 1996 from the University of Toronto and has spent the last 8 years in private practice. Vicki has completed numerous postgraduate courses which include her Part A level (Diploma of intermediate manual and manipulative therapy) and her Medical Acupuncture Certification, (University of Alberta and University of Bejing, China). Vicki has a special interest in treating headaches, neck and back pain. She also has an interest in work station ergonomics and core stabilization/postural retraining. Vicki has worked with several Olympic and National athletes on their rehabilitation and return to work program.

Kathryn Jeans B.Sc PT
Kathryn graduated with distinction from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Physical Therapy in 1997. She has since worked in a variety of settings including hospital, athletic teams and private practice. In 1999 Kathryn received her Level 1 Acupuncture certification through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. Other post graduate training includes manual therapy, Mulligan techniques, post MVA rehabilitation, soft tissue techniques, spinal stabilization, and sports medicine. Kathryn has been in private practice for 5 years and has been at Lindsay Park Sports Physiotherapy since September 2001. Kathryn enjoys treating a variety of clients, particularly the recreational athlete and post MVA patient.

Marcia Kirby B.P.E., B.Sc PT
Marcia Kirby graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Physiotherapy in 2001. In 2002 she completed her Level I Acupuncture Certification of Canada Institute and is currently completing her Level III Manual Therapy course. Marcia's caseload includes sports injuries, motor vehicle accident and WCB patients. She is also working directly with the Cascade swim team as a Physiotherapist.

Kent Kobelka B.Sc PT
Kent graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Previously he studied Kinesiology at the University of Victoria. He has vast experience working with a variety of sports teams. He spent four years with the UBC Varsity Hockey team, and currently works as a Consultant with the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club and is the Head Physiotherapist with the Canadian Alpine Ski Team. He has worked in private practice for four years and joined the Lifemark team in September 2002. His passion is with sports injuries with a focus on sports specific rehab.

Robin MacDonald B.Sc PT
Robin graduated in 1985 from the University of Saskatchewan. Since 1989 she has gained clinical experience with Calgary Sport Physio/Lifemark Health in assessment and treatment of musculo skeletal injuries including sports/orthopaedic, Motor Vehicle Accidents and Workers' Compensation. She has gained valuable acute care experience from the Foothills Medical Centre in assessment and treatment of cardiorespiratory, neurological, burn, rheumatology, in and out patient orthopedics and oncology patients. Her special interest over the past five years has been in the assessment of lower extremity biomechanics including the foot and gait analysis for orthotic correction.

Laura Macfarlane B.Kin., M.Sc., P.T.
Laura graduated from McMaster University with her physiotherapy degree in 2002. To date, she has furthered her training with Level I acupuncture from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. She joined the Lifemark team at Lindsay Park Physiotherapy in 2003. Previously she completed her kinesiology degree from the University of Calgary in 1999. Her primary areas of interest were exercise physiology and nutrition. Laura worked as a kinesiologist at the Glencoe Club in Calgary in both the fitness and the physiotherapy departments with individuals in athletic training, general fitness and/or rehabilitation before going on to her career in physiotherapy. She has also worked at the Foothills Medical Centre in various acute treatment areas. Her primary interest at the present is in sports related injuries. She trains regularly for running events, but enjoys mountain biking, climbing, skiing, pilates and generally staying active and healthy. She looks forward to enhancing her skills in orthopedics with further acupuncture and manual therapy training.

Jodi Michie B.P.E., B.Sc.P.T.
Jodi graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1998. As well as her Physical therapy degree with great distinction, she has a Bachelor of Physical Education from the University of Calgary. She is currently a student with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada. Jodi has worked in a variety of clinical settings including acute care, in patient, outpatient, and private practice. She has experience with cardiorespiratory, neurological, burn, orthopedic and oncology clients. She joined Lindsay Park Physiotherapy in 2002. Jodi's special interests include post-op clients, sports related injuries and neurological conditions.

Gary Mitchell B.P.E., B. Sc. P. T. , M.S. P. T.
Gary graduated with a Bachelor of Physical Education in 1981 and Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1992 from the University of Alberta. He completed an Advanced Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Oklahoma in 1997 and a two year Fellowship in Sports Physical Therapy at the Oklahoma Center for Athletes. Gary has been the therapist for professional soccer, hockey and in-line hockey teams. He has toured and consulted with the Canadian National Swim Team and been involved with a number of National, International and amateur sports teams and events. Gary has also worked in fitness testing, exercise prescription and personal training. He has involved himself in a variety of sports activities, most recently running marathons and triathlons including the Iron Man.

Andrew Nickel B.Sc., C.A.F.C.I.
Andrew hails from Stratford, Ontario. He received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 1997. His post graduate education has focused on manual therapy including Mulligan techniques, spinal manipulation, exercise based rehabilitation McKenzies' protocol for spinal treatment, taping techniques, and medical acupuncture certification from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (AFCI) in 2000). Andrew has also been trained in DRS Spinal Decompression Therapy. He has successfully completed the Physiotherapy National Exam and the requirements to be a Canadian Physical Activity and Lifestyle Appraiser (CPAFLA). Andrew's previous appointments have included: Canadian Back Institute in Sarnia, Ontario, Alicetown Physiotherapy and Khandallah Physiotherapy Centre in Wellington, New Zealand. Andrew is currently registered with the College of Physical Therapists of Alberta, and an active member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, and AFCI.

Kathryn Schneider B.Kin.(Hon), B.H.Sc.P.T., RCAMT
Kathryn graduated from the University of Calgary in 1995 with a Bachelors of Honors, Kinesiology majoring in biomechanics and from McMaster University in 1998 with her Bachelor of Health Sciences in Physical Therapy with Distinction. In April of 2001 she completed her RCAMT (Resident Manipulative Therapy) and has pursued further education towards her diploma of advanced manual and manipulative therapy. She is the chair of the Southern Alberta Orthopaedic Unit, a member of the Public Relations and Communications Committee of the APA as well as the Southern Alberta Chair of the Alberta Section of the Canadian Amateur Diving Association. Kathryn has spent the last six months pursuing a special interest in vestibular rehabilitation and treating patients with dizziness and balance disorders. She has also covered numerous sporting events and worked with many national level athletes including diving, track, bobsled and gymnastics.

Kerry Statham B.Sc. P. T.
Kerry graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Saskatchewan in 1993, and has spent the last 10 years as a Physical Therapy consultant at Lindsay Park Sport Physiotherapy. Kerry has been involved in the treatment and care of many different elite athletes at both the National and local level, as well as working both locally and internationally with various professional dance companies. Currently, he is the company Physiotherapist for the Alberta Ballet company, and has worked overseas with both Alberta Ballet and Universal Ballet of Seoul, Korea. In addition to having an interest in dance-related care, Kerry likes to work with problems and dysfunctions of the elbow and shoulder/upper quadrant areas.

Gerald Steenkamp B.Sc. P. T.
Gerald graduated from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa in 1998. He worked as a Physiotherapist for the University of Stellenbosch 1st Rugby team as well as for the Cape Technicon's 1st Cricket team of the National Championships before moving to Canada in 1999. He worked in Grande Prairie at Columbia Rehabilitation Centre before moving to Calgary in 2001. He has completed several courses in manual and manipulative therapy, as well as acupuncture. Gerald has played rugby at the provincial level in South Africa and has played for Calgary Mavericks in the Canadian Super League in 2001 and 2002. He has also covered as team Physiotherapist for the Calgary Mavericks and the Canucks Rugby Club.

Myra Westaway Hon.B.Sc.(Kin), B.H.Sc.P.T.
Myra graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Honors). She completed her Bachelor of Heatlh Science in Physiotherapy at McMaster University in 1987. She is a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) and an active member of American Society of hand Therapists (ASHT). For 10 years Myra has specialized in the rehabilitation of Upper Quadrant dysfunction with particular interest in hand and wrist problems.

Stacey Will B.Sc.P.T., C.H.T.
Stacey Will has 10 years clinical experience including three years at the Foothills Hospital Hand Clinic. She became a Certified Hand Therapist in 1998 and a member of the American and Canadian Society of Hand Therapists and also Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Her special interest is in wrist and hand injuries.

Joan Wilson M.Sc., P.T.
Joan graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy with distinction in 1982 from the University of Alberta and completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 1985 while working at the University of Alberta Sports Injuries Clinic. Since receiving her Sport Physiotherapy Diploma in 1986, Joan has traveled to the Pan-Am and Olympic Games as a member of the Canadian Olympic Associations Medical team. Joan has been involved in the treatment and care of many different elite athletes at the community through international level. As a Canadian Alpine Ski Team Alumnus, Joan remains active in Master's Ski racing as an athlete achieving both national and international success. In recent years, Joan's new found passion for golf has led her to compete at the provincial level. Between golf games and ski races, Joan has attained her Diploma in Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy and her certification to practice Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS).

Helene Gregoire B.Sc., O.T., Reg.Ac.
Helene was born and raised in Quebec and moved to Calgary in 1981. She graduated from the University of Montreal in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy and received a certificate of Medical Acupuncture at the University of Alberta, in 1996. As an Occupational Therapist, Helene has 23 years experience which include oncology, musculoskeletal disorders, pain management and 13 years specialization in hand therapy.
Helene further pursued Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine studies and received a certificate of Acupuncture and in Beijing, China in 1996. She has attended several workshops and courses in Pediatric, Gynecology & Women's Health in acupuncture since 1996, and has training in several levels of Qi Gong with Dr. S. Aung since 1993. She has seven years experience as an Acupuncturist in a variety of areas such as pediatrics, women's health, musculo-skeletal disorders, skin disorders, respiratory and gastrointestinal problems. She is an Instructor of the Certificate Program of Acupressure Therapy at Mount Royal College since 1999, and a Qi-Gong instructor for the World Natural Medicine Foundation from 1993-1999. Helene is an Alberta Registered Occupational Therapist, Alberta Registered Acupuncturist under the Alberta Health & Wellness Program and a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and the Canadian Health Professional Acupuncture Society. |

Sandra Chu M.S., B.P.H.E., B.A.
Sandra has been working in the sport medicine field for the past six years attending athletes from high performance to recreational levels, both in a clinical and field environment. She co-ordinates Hockey Trainers for the SW, NE and Calgary Buffaloes Minor Hockey Associations, working to ensure that players receive appropriate injury care. She has devoted some of her spare time to working on field with hockey, rugby, soccer, and field hockey teams. Her clinic work includes instructing Hydrotherapy/pool classes to assist clients in their recovery process. Sandra understands that sport and physical activity play an integral part in maintaining a healthy and happy lifestyle and strives to provide her clients with individualized sport specific rehab programs to minimize time spent on the sidelines. |

Wendy Laythorpe
Wendy has been involved in the field of sport medicine for the past 6 years assessing and treating athletes from the professional to recreational level. She is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist. She is currently working with the National Training Program for soccer, as well as the Storm Center of Excellence. Soccer is her passion, but she works with athletes involved in various sports from alpine skiing, hockey, rugby to gymnastics. Wendy is committed to the athletes that she works with and is very interested in assisting individuals in reaching their goals in sport and play. Sport is simply organized play, and Wendy believes that play is important in everyone's lives! |

Tony Oumerov R.M.T.
Tony has been with Lindsay Park Physio for the past 6 years. A two time 100 meter junior track champion in the former soviet Union and a member of the Soviet National Junior Track and Field team. Tony spent five years teaching physical education and coaching track and field. For four years he fulfilled the role of head coach for the Track and Field team for the Republic of Russia. In 1991, Tony emigrated to Canada and has worked as a Registered Massage Therapist for the past 16 years. He utilizes a variety of techniques for infant massage, therapeutic massage, relaxation massage and sports massage. He is a member of the Massage Therapists' Association of Alberta. |

Michael Scott R.M.T.
Michael has been with Lindsay Park Sports Medicine since 2001. As a Mount Royal College graduate, his programs included a Physical Education Diploma, Massage Therapy and Sports Massage. Michael is also a member of the following professional organizations: Alberta Registered Massage Therapy Society, and the Alberta massage therapist and Wholistic Practitioner Association. Michael has worked with amateur athletes including synchronized swimmers, water polo, hockey players, and marathon athletes. His massage therapy treatments specialize in Motor Vehicle accidents, Sports injuries, work related injuries and various medical conditions including chronic fatigue syndrome and arthritis. |

Regan Smith R.M.T.
Regan completed the 1000 hour program at Foothills College of Massage Therapy in addition to her Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Anthropology. She has been working with Lifemark Health at Lindsay Park for the past two years. She enjoys the outdoors, from hiking to mountain biking and has been actively involved with the synchronized swimming community for over 10 years. |
